About Saddle Peak

Saddle Peak in Diglipur is the highest point on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is a popular trekking destination among tourists and is located approximately 733 meters from the seashore. The forest department has maintained the trekking path all the way to the top. The trekking path actually has three destinations divided into three peaks that follow one another. The trekking could be classified as moderate. At the starting point of the trek, you'll find a plethora of properly cut sticks left by previous visitors. Picking one is a good idea because it will be very useful during the climb and on the way back. When you reach the first peak, you'll notice a short-height dates tree, which is unusual for this location. It was also possible to see small islands and the shore line, which was a pleasant sight. Depending on the season, you will be able to see anything between the second and third peak. People who reach the summit place a few coins to mark their presence.
