About Nature Park and Interpretation Centre

The place is a recently added attraction for tourist and local public. Located in Haddo, Port Blair city near Van Sadan was once called by the name mini zoo and used to display few animal, birds and reptile found in and around the Andaman Island. The site was renovated for few years and reopened as the Nature Park and Interpretation Centre on January 1, 2020, by Hon'ble Vice President of India, Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu. The Forest Department developed and maintains the area. The location is a must-see for nature lovers, as it features finely crafted lawns and dense trees, as well as numerous man-made statues and structures that are pleasing to the eyes. There is plenty of parking near the park's entrance. The ticket counter is located next to the parking area, where you can purchase entry tickets. The park greets visitors with a large stone statue that makes an excellent photo opportunity, followed by the butterfly observatory, tree house aquarium, orchid & ferns green house, a very good collection of medicinal plants, aquatic plants, spice trees, musical fountain, gym, and so on. Since the park is spread in many acres, keep at least 02 hours exploring the area with ease.

How to reach?

The best way to get there is to take an auto rickshaw or a taxi or a rented 2-wheeler. One could also take advantage of special tourist buses known as Go-Go, which are provided by the local administration.

Timing

The place is open to the public on all days from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Entry Fee

Entry fee above 12 yrs is Rs. 30/-, for senior citizen it is Rs. 20/- and for foreign tourist it is Rs. 100/-.
