About Mount Harriet

Mount Harriet National Park was recently renamed as Mount Manipur Nation Park is located in Port Blair and is one of the highest peaks. The park, established in 1969, covers about 4.62 km. Mount Harriet, which is part of the park, is the third-highest peak in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago after Saddle Peak in North Andaman and Mount Thullier in Great Nicobar. The picture on the back side of Rs. 20 note is taken from Mount Harriet National Park. Journey to Mount Harriet is fun and thrilling experience, as the vehicles stops at Haddo Jetty for Vehicle Ferry boat from Haddo to Bambooflat jetty (about 45 mins). Next the journey continues to the top of mountain in between thick lush green forest and some spectacular view of North Bay Island from the top. Trekking is another option here for fun loving people. A must visit place for nature lover and honeymoon couple.

How to reach?

The best way to get there is to take a taxi or hired jeep from Bambooflat jetty.

Timing

The place is open for visitors on all days from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Entry Fee

Entry charges are Rs.25 for Adults, Rs.10 for Children, Rs.10 for Students (Indians), and Rs.250 for Foreigners.
