About Kalapathar Beach

The Kalapathar Beach, another gem of Havelock Island, received its name from the presence of coal-black boulders on the white sand shore. The distance from Jetty to the destination is 15 to 20 kilometres. It is advised to rent a two-wheeler or bring a bicycle if you are visiting on a sunny day so you don't miss the stunning scenery along the way. The ride to the beach cut across the coastline, with the sea on one side and thick green coconut trees on the other. The area is a perfect getaway for newlyweds because of its beautiful splendour, which plays romantic chimes. For purchasing gifts, there are also a number of souvenir shops nearby. On the beach, you might savour seasonal fresh fruits and delectable coconut water. Throughout the route, there are a lot of well-known hotels and resorts. The best times to visit this location are morning and evening, while among tourists morning time is more preferred to see this as a final destination of Havelock before departing to Port Blair or Neil Island.
